Description
The Extron MAV Series Matrix Switchers are designed for video applications that route composite video, S-video, HDTV/component video and/or stereo audio (balanced/unbalanced) signals. The versatile MAV Series routes one or more independent NTSC, PAL, or SECAM video and/or stereo audio sources to one or more outputs. The MAV Series switchers are off-the-shelf solutions that are ideal for a wide range of matrix switching applications. Corporate boardrooms, command and control centers, university classrooms, sports bars, videoconferencing rooms, and home theaters are all common matrix switching environments where using a MAV Series switcher is ideal.
The switchers in the MAV Series are available in a variety of fixed configurations to match the input/output requirements of many applications. The MAV Series offers five input/output options for composite video and stereo audio signals: a six in, two out model; an eight in, four out model; a twelve in, eight out model; a sixteen in, eight out model; and a sixteen in, sixteen out model. There are three S-video and stereo audio I/O configurations: a six in, two out model; a sixteen in, eight out model; and a sixteen in, sixteen out model. Two HDTV/component video and stereo audio MAV switchers are available: a sixteen in, eight out model; and a sixteen in, sixteen out model. Each sixteen by eight and sixteen by sixteen A/V model in the MAV Series is also available in a video-only version. In addition, there are two stereo audio-only versions: a sixteen in, eight out model and a sixteen in, sixteen out model.
These matrix switchers provide front panel LED input switch indication along with front panel tactile buttons for easy adjustment of inputs, outputs, audio and/or video selections. Extron also provides free Windows®-based control program software that allows control of any of these switchers via a remote PC. The software provides an easy, graphical environment in which to make input/output selections, set presets, adjust video and/or audio levels, and alter anything else normally accessed through the front panel.
