The DrayTek Vigor 2830n-plus state-of-art routing features, VPN, Security,
QoS, Dual Band 2.4/5GHz Configurable Access Point, 3.5G USB Modem support
and Gigabit WAN provides superior integrated benefits for Network Integrators, home
networks and small offices.

The Vigor2830n-plus Flexible WAN interface enables load balancing, backup
and bandwidth management.
The 2nd Gigabit Ethernet WAN interface of the Vigor2830 series can be used to
connect to a 2nd modem from your current or another ISP and the connection type
can be ADSL/Cable/VDSL2/or Ethernet FTTx modem.
Need even More Bandwidth? No problem! The USB port can be used as the 3rd WAN
interface via a USB 3.5G modem (requires a mobile broadband account). The three
(3) WAN interfaces can do load-balancing to facilitate bandwidth usage.
Moreover, they can do failover and backup during downtime. If you have different
ISP accounts (i.e.; one from your local ISP, another from your local cable
company, and a third from a Mobil Broadband carrier) providing Internet service
to all three WAN interfaces, failover can be completely worry-free; even if one
or two ISPs’ service temporarily goes down.

DrayTeks’ Vigor 2830 series embedded with tag-based multi-subnet function can
satisfy the security needs of distinguishing extranet and corporate intranet by
Routine/NAT mode or multiple workgroups by different subnets. Besides, it can
configure different subnets to each application, such as VoIP and IPTV to
prevent interference.

USB port for 3.5G, FTP and Print Server
Not only for 3.5G/4G mobile broadband, USB port also supports printer servers
and allows the connection of a USB disk or hard drive for FTP file transfer
through the Internet or local networks. The network administrator can set
username/password and directory/file access privilege for individual users.

Secure Networking
By adopting a hardware-based VPN platform and hardware encryption of
AES/DES/3DS, the router significantly increases the performance of VPN and
offers several protocols (such as IPSec/PPTP/L2TP) with up to 32 VPN tunnels.
The object-based design used in SPI (Stateful Packet Inspection) firewall allows
users to set firewall policies with ease. The Object-based firewall is flexible
and keeps your network be safe. DoS/DDoS prevention and URL/Web content filter
strengthen the security outside and control inside. The enterprise-level CSM
(Content Security Management) enables users to control and manage IM (Instant
Messenger) and P2P (Peer-to-Peer) applications more efficiently. The CSM can be
used to prevent inappropriate content from distracting employees and impeding
productivity. Furthermore, the CSM can keep your office, and networks
threat-free and available.

Vigor2830 series supports DrayTeks’ ‘ SmartMonitor ‘ Network Activity Management
Application (monitoring of up to 30 users), which captures actual live data of
activities on your managed network. Activities such as the content of MSN
entering to or out of your network. You can also track file downloads/uploads or
view statistics on data-type activities to monitor what corporate related
information may have been released accidentally or intentionally.

Easy-to-Manage and Configurable WLAN
In addition to the encryption methods of WEP/WPA/WPA2 and MAC address control,
the DrayTek Vigor 2830n-plus also offers wireless LAN isolation, Wireless VLAN
and 802.1X authentication. The embedded WDS (Wireless Distribution System) can
help users to easily extend wireless coverage. Moreover, the wireless
rate-control can be adjusted for each wireless station. The WMM (Wi-Fi
multimedia) provides the priority of voice, video and audio applications in a
Wi-Fi network and lowers priority of other network traffic, which is not
time-critical.

Wireless Dual Band
Selectable 5G or 2.4GHz configuration of the Vigor2830n-plus and
Vigor2830Vn-plus
provides extra choices for SMBs to build their WLAN network. In addition to the
common 2.4GHz frequency, SMB can configure WLAN network on the less congested
5GHz spectrum.
